Over the last six years, I’ve had the privilege of writing here, at nealembry.com. The name of the website has now changed three times, with previous names Philippians411 and Life in Christ giving way to The Life I Now Live. I have blogged through tears, through laughter and through joy, and God has been faithful through it all. It has been a great six years. God has given me a voice and an audience willing to listen as I write about who He is, what He’s done in my life, and what He can do in the lives of anyone.
But if there’s one downfall about this site, it’s consistency. I have been inconsistent at best, lazy at worst, when it comes to making regular time to write. This is not fair to God, myself or my readers, and for that, I apologize. God has made it clear that if I am to be a writer, I must write more consistently.
This brings me to the exciting news: The Life I Now Live will now be consistently updated twice a week with new posts to help you follow Jesus.
I will write on Sundays for my Sunday Series, which will walk through a book of the Bible or a topic related to the Christian life. These posts will be published at 2 p.m. (CT) on Sundays.
I will also write on Wednesdays for Wednesday Wisdom, a shorter, more devotional-like post meant to give you some encouragement during the week. These posts will be published at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays.
As for my older posts: Some have been deleted, as they do not represent ideas and writings I want published. The 99 (with this post, an even 100) that remain can be found in the section on the right-hand side of the website titled “Archives.” There, they are grouped by month. You can also use the search function to find different tags and topics.
Take some time to look at the new layout. I’ve added pages to keep everything organized, and I’ve changed themes in an effort to be more professional. I also ask for as much help getting this website known as possible. I want to reach as many people as possible, so if you like what you read, please share it with your friends and family.
So the website looks different, and will continue to look different. A lot of things are changing around here. However, God has not changed. He is still a great God, and I’m excited to see what He has in store for me, and hopefully for you, as you read with me.
